Abstract
Introduction: One of the Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM) which is a very serious health problem today is hypertension which is known as the silent killer. In the management of hypertension, efforts are made in the form of pharmacological efforts and non-pharmacological efforts. Non-pharmacological efforts in the long term can cause patients to become bored so that they can affect their knowledge of taking medication. Compliance with taking medication is defined as the level of patient willingness and effort to comply with instructions, rules or medical recommendations given by health professionals. Purpose: This case study explains the extent of the management of taking medication for people with hypertension. Method: this research is a Single Embeded Case Study which focuses on the assessment of the management of taking medication for hypertension. Results: Based on the results of the study, it was found that they were disobedient in the management of taking medication. Conclusion: Non-compliance with medication management due to decreased knowledge due to aging process and low level of education.
